Finally I can take a step back and let the professional athletes like Tim Tszyu from Australia and the McKenna brothers from Ireland demonstrate the potential of the Kewlus Cobra Bag. Seeing the top boxers train with my cobra bag has become the highlight of my journey with this product to date.
I wanted to make my cobra bag accessible to everyone, thus I broke it down into components and made it DIY compatible. This allows anyone to buy just one or two components and DIY the rest, saving money but also allowing people to customise their setup. I also wanted to ensure that it performed well enough so that professional boxers could tain with it. Check out my post on an advanced form of base setup for those seeking the absolute best in performance: https://kewlus.com/blogs/diy/advanced-cobra-bag-setup
Finally I want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey, which began with a DIY cobra bag made from a PVC pipe and an old volleyball. That DIY video which I posted on YouTube has had over a million views!
]]>Aside from Tim's power and dominance in the ring, I noticed a refined level of skill in his defence. He often switched from high guard to the Philly Shell and deployed it with amazing level of confidence.
Even though Brian Mendoza is a top level and highly respected fighter with plenty of his own punching power, I could see many of his punches were simply not able to find their mark on the day.
You could just see the frustration on Mendoza's face as he threw punches into empty space on many occasions.
After the fight Tim had barely a scratch on him, while Mendoza had to wear sunglasses in post fight interview to cover all the bruising on his face.
Yes, Tim's explosive punching power and dominance in the ring is undoubtedly what makes him the powerhouse that he is and why he is so entertaining to watch. However his defensive skills have placed him on a level where he can calmly and methodically take his opponent apart while avoiding getting hit.

You can Pre-Order it now here.
]]>I designed the Sleeve with a standard 50 mm (roughly 2 inches) outer diameter to match the hole diameter of the standard Olympic weight plate. The bottom of the sleeve will sit wedged between the sandbags, with the weight plates resting on top. The sandbags act as a buffer between the baseboard (or Paddles or Suction Cups) and the weight plates, absorbing any shock and enhancing rigidity.
If used with the Suction Cups, the Sleeve and one or two weight plates will make the base much more rigid and the suction pads less likely to dislodge.
I'm currently testing the prototypes of these and will be posting a video or two on my Youtube channel soon. Initial numbers will be limited, so if you want to get your hands on one, make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel: youtube.com/@Kewlus - this is where I will be making the release announcements.
As always I aim to keep costs down and pass on the savings to you guys. It will be affordable and similarly priced as many of the other components.
If you have any questions, post them in the comments below.
]]>The spinner will incorporate the highest quality hybrid ceramic and stainless steel ball bearing for the ultimate spin performance.
The design of the spinner will be modular like with all my components, so you can switch out elements on each of the arms and adjust the length of each arm. The height of the spinner will be adjustable - able to slide up and down and lock in place with a stainless steel clamp - all the way down to a small child's level.
Configuration possibilities are endless: for example, you could have two balls at either end to simulate someone holding two focus mitts - that would really test your reflexes as the balls would move in a very narrow arc. You coud position the spinning balls closer together for faster, closer action or further apart for longer reach.
The spar bar add-on is still in design and prototyping (testing) stage. This means that it is still months away, but know that I will not rest until this is out. Now that I have a reliable manufacturing base, my aim is to have it released in the second part of this year.
As soon as it goes into production I will start taking pre-orders. Initial numbers will be limited, so if you want to get your hands on one, make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel: youtube.com/@Kewlus - this is where I will be making the release announcements.

]]>For most situations making a thick, 2 foot wide baseboard will give you the most effective platform for your cobra bag. However for those of you who don't have the opportunity to make such a baseboard (or have one made locally), the Paddles are a great alternative.
The new version is now in the final stages of prototype manufacture and testing. Although I don't yet have an exact release date, I expect to release them around mid Feb. I will reveal the release on my YouTube channel, so please subscribe to it if you don't want to miss the announcement.
]]>It's an amazing spring, if I can say so myself. I'm most proud of the fact that with this spring you can set up the cobra bag for small kids as well as for adults. It can also now be used in the upside-down position or horizontally attached to a wall - something that no other cobra bag is capable of.
The KS3 is fully compatible with the Kewlus Cobra Bag Kit - just need to ensure your base is sturdy enough, as this spring is more powerful. Check out this post and video for the best type of baseboard for the KS3. If you don't already own a Kewlus Cobra Bag Kit, then you can buy the complete kit with the KS3 Spring here as a bundle and get a small discount.
Anyway, you probably just want to see it in action, so here's the release video:
