I’ve always been a fan of shows like Shark Tank and Dragon’s Den, so when Channel 10 opened applications just before I launched the O₃ kit, I jumped at the chance. Getting selected was no small feat—thousands applied and the paperwork alone proved you’d built something that not only worked, but looked investable. For me, though, it was never about chasing a cheque.
Standing in the Tank taught me exactly what it takes to bring on investors—and why that path didn’t suit me. The Sharks were all about fast returns; I’m all about long-term innovation and community impact. In hindsight, them passing on Kewlus wasn’t a rejection—it was confirmation that our values simply didn’t line up. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’m proud to have showcased Kewlus on national TV. It underscores how far I’ve come from those early DIY YouTube clips—fashioning training gear from local hardware—and it wouldn’t have happened without the support, feedback and inspiration of my YouTube community. You’re the reason Kewlus exists.
