The Classic (KS2) Freestanding Kewlus Kit is ideal for those who are new to training with a reflex punching bag and want to start at a lower price point to get a feel for it. Being a modular system, the Classic (KS2) Spring can later be upgraded to the Prime (KS3) Spring as you progress and want more from your setup.

ATTENTION: It is critical to assemble the ball and the Paddles correctly. Please ensure you read the instructions fully before use. Failure to assemble correctly may void your warranty.

What's Included in the Classic (KS2) Freestanding Kit

The Classic Freestanding Kit includes the following from the top:

  • Classic (KS2) Spring - 2nd generation Kewlus spring that fits onto the Click Bar and is also compatible with 3/4 inch pipes for DIY setups. The Red Bar and the Classic Target ball make up the ideal combination for the top section of the cobra bag when using this spring.
  • Kewlus Classic Spring End Covers (set of 2) - these are rubber covers designed to screw onto the ends of the KS2 Spring. They are designed to allow the Red Bar and the Click Bar to click into the Spring.
  • Classic Target Ball, made using lightweight synthetic material makes it the ideal companion to the KS2 Spring;
  • Target Adapter, designed to be used with the Kewlus targets, the Adapter allows the user to extend the length of the top section, thus increasing the reach of the cobra bag.
  • Red Bar - designed to make up the top part of the cobra bag, its light weight allows for faster movement of the bag. It goes into the top of the KS2 Spring.
  • Click Bar - made from light, yet strong aluminium which will not rust, it is designed to click into the Mast to make up the bottom section of the cobra bag.
  • Alloy Mast - designed to click into the Base Connector for quick and easy removal and storage of the cobra bag. Made out of aluminium it will never rust. The bottom Click Bar slips into this mast and clicks in place at the desired height, giving you height adjustment suitable for both kids as young as 8 and adults as tall as 6 foot.
  • Kewlus Base Connector - super strong, minimalistic base made from composite fibre. It comes with a stainless steel clamp for the collar to lock the mast in place for the ultimate rigidity - please ensure the steel clamp is tight around the collar before using the cobra bag - see picture.
  • Platform Paddles - These come as a set of 4 Paddles with 4 screws to screw them into the Multi Base and most importantly a central locking screw and nut to lock them all together at the center of the base - see picture.
  • Kewlus Sandbags - these come as a set of 2, and are specifically designed to have the right capacity. For use with the Platform Paddles I highly recommend using a double plastic bag liner and filling each one with wet sand.

Height Range

The height range of the cobra bag is roughly 4'5 (135 cm) - 5' (152 cm) from the floor to the top of the ball. Ideally you want the top of the ball to be at about chin level when you're standing fully upright in front of it.

This range can be extended for taller people through customisation: https://youtu.be/m4kyvmuwQ_Q. You could also buy another Click Bar to replace the Red Bar in the top section. That will give you about 3 extra inches, but please note that it will reduce the speed slightly.

Which Kewlus is Best for You: Classic (KS2), Prime (KS3) or O3?

If you are not sure which might be better for you to start with, and would like to know how the Classic (KS2) Kewlus compares to the Prime (KS3), check out this video I made comparing the two: https://youtu.be/b2epFIm0IRU. Remember that the Kewlus system is modular and you can easily upgrade components at a later stage.

Caring for the Environment through Sustainable Design

All Kewlus gear is built around a modular system — every part is designed to be replaceable. If something breaks or wears out, you simply swap out the component instead of tossing the entire unit. I'll even send you a 50% discount code if you send me a picture of the broken part - that's my commitment for life! This approach drastically reduces waste and extends the life of your gear, making it a smarter, more sustainable way to train. By investing in Kewlus, you're helping to care for the environment.
