How To Make Boxing/MMA Gloves - DIY Pounders
Share
Watch the video below to see how you can make a pair of DIY Pounders - boxing/MMA gloves that can be either weighted or unweighted. I named them Pounders because when you make the weighted version, each glove weighs around a pound. Regular training with the weighted version of these DIY gloves will improve your punching speed, accuracy and power. The total cost for a pair is ridiculously low - around $2 for unweighted (no bolts) or $10 for the weighted version.
Parts:
- Pool noodle - 3 inch wide one with a one inch hole through the centre. Sold at most department stores like Target and Kmart;
- Wide, stretchy duct tape (or electrical PVC tape); and
- Optional for the weighted version: Pair of large bolts that will fit nicely in the palms of your hands - see the video for the ideal size.
I'd love to know your thoughts and ideas on these gloves and if you plan on making a pair - let me know in the comments of the video!
