About

G'day! I'm Reedy Kewlus, inventor, DIYer & YouTuber dedicated to helping people all over the world create lower cost and better quality alternatives for training and exercising in their home.

How It All Started

This journey began in 2010 when I bought a heavy punching bag, but had no way to hang it. So, I came up with a heavy punching bag stand which also doubled as a suspension training platform.

That was my first YouTube video and the start of a passion for creating and sharing ideas for training at home. I continued to invent and share DIY ideas, such as a punching bag you could make from old tires, a cobra bag using toilet paper with a PVC pipe and a rotating spar bag for boxing using pool noodles.

I also reviewed a few commercial products and what I quickly realised is that much of my DIY gear was far superior to the commercial products that were being sold out there. This, plus losing my job at the outset of COVID hardened my resolve to finally turn my passion into a business.

Modular, Customizable & DIY-Compatible Gear

After trying out numerous DIY ideas I finally came up with the modular training equipment concept. The idea is to give people affordable and practical options for training and exercising in their homes without the clutter, the bulk and the cost of having multiple heavy bases for different apparatuses. One of my key goals is to create equipment that is easy to set up and just as easy to put away - for example no heavy water-filled bases that are impossible to move once filled. Another goal is to ensure that everything is of the highest quality and components can easily be upgraded, modified or added-on.

But the one thing that I wanted most of all is to allow people to save money by using off-the-shelf DIY components such as plumbing pipes. So, I designed my gear around that, starting with the Kewlus Cobra Bag - World's First Modular, Customizable & DIY-Compatible Cobra Bag. All the key components are based on the standard 3/4 inch plumbing pipes including strong galvanised steel pipes and light, flexible PVC pipes. This opens up a whole world of possibilities, like the semi-DIY PVC Cobra Bag which is fast, powerful and yet super low cost.

To DIY or Not to DIY

Even though I love making stuff the DIY way, I also realise that not everyone is handy with a drill. For this reason I made sure that the final product has the options to be able to be used without the need for DIY. At the end of the day I leave it up to you to decide to DIY or not to DIY.

Let's Do This!

Finally I would like to welcome you to join me in the quest to make training gear fun and affordable.
