The Prime (KS3) Core Kewlus Kit does not include a base and is perfect for those looking to make their own custom base (or screw it down to the floor) for optimum performance and to save money.

Kit Suitability

This kit is best suited for those who would like to get maximum performance from the cobra bag by making a DIY base or screwing the Base Connector to the floor.

What's Included:

• The Prime (KS3) Spring: Third generation spring made from the unique formulation of metals for the ultimate performance and longevity. No other spring comes even close.
• Genuine Leather Prime Target Ball: Genuine leather target ball designed for ultimate performance and durability. It's the perfect balance between speed and power.
• Target Ball Adapter: Extendable length for increased reach, designed and engineered to allow flexibility at the rim for cupping the ball while maintaining top section rigidity and rebound speed. The Adapter and Kewlus targets have been designed in unison to fit perfectly together for optimum performance.
• 2 x Click Bars: Lightweight, rust-free aluminium bars which can be used in both the bottom section (below the spring) for overall height adjustment and top section (above the spring) for adjusting the range of movement of the bag.
• Alloy Mast: Made for the general use from lightweight alloy that will not rust.
• Base Connector: Versatile base connector made from composite fibre for the ultimate strength and rigidity is unlike most of the common water filled based where rigidity is lost due to the non-fibre plastic that is used.
• Pair of Sandbags: The two bags add 90 pounds of weight when filled with sand.

Making a DIY Base:

The recommended way to set this kit up is to make a solid DIY base by gluing a number of MDF boards together. It's easy to make, low coast and super sturdy. Unlike Platform Paddles, this type of wooden base allows you the option to attach castor wheels to the back to make it super easy to move your cobra bag without taking off the sandbags.

Over the years I have refined the process of making a DIY base to a point where it is easy and extremely affordable - from just $35 for a 4-layer MDF board base, including glue and screws for mounting the Base Connector. I maintain an up-to-date DIY post with the latest video here.

Height Range:

The height range of the cobra bag is roughly 4'8" (143 cm) to 5'7" (171 cm) from the floor to the top of the bag. This can be increased to suit taller fighters by making the base taller (gluing together more boards in the making of the base).

Convertible to Short Form:

The KS3 Cobra Bag can be converted to a shortened form, making the height range roughly 3'3" (100 cm) to 3'7" (110 cm). This form is ideal for smaller children or for mounting upside-down from the ceiling or horizontally on a wall.
