Classic (KS2) Freestanding Kit

• Classic (KS2) Spring : Second-generation Kewlus spring designed to provide a controlled and responsive rebound. It fits onto the Click Bar and is also compatible with standard ¾-inch pipes for DIY setups.
• 2 × Classic Spring End Covers: Rubber covers that screw onto the ends of the KS2 Spring, allowing the Polymer Red Bar and Aluminium Click Bar to click securely into place.
• Classic Target Ball: Lightweight synthetic target ball designed to complement the controlled rebound of the KS2 Spring.
• Target Ball Adapter : Extendable adapter designed to hold the target ball securely while allowing you to adjust the reach of the cobra bag.
• Polymer Red Bar : Lightweight top bar designed to increase the speed and intensity of the rebound.
• Aluminium Click Bar : Lightweight, rust-free bar used below the spring for overall height adjustment.
• Alloy Mast : Lightweight, rust-free aluminium mast designed for general home training use.
• Base Connector : Rigid composite-fibre connector designed to secure the mast firmly to the Platform Paddles. Includes the stainless-steel collar clamp used to lock the mast into place.
• Pair of Kewlus Sandbags : Purpose-designed sandbags that stabilize the base when filled fully with sand.
• 4 × Platform Paddles with Mounting Hardware : Strong composite-fibre paddles that form the freestanding base and come apart completely for compact storage and travel. Includes the four mounting screws, central locking screw and nut.
• Olympic Weight Plate Sleeve : Slides onto the mast so that one or two of your own Olympic weight plates can be placed above the sandbags for increased base rigidity and improved rebound performance.

For the best performance, fill the included sandbags completely to the top. Wet sand is ideal because it provides greater weight and stability. Use a heavy-duty plastic bag as a liner inside each sandbag.

The included Olympic Weight Plate Sleeve allows you to place one or two of your own Olympic weight plates above the sandbags. This increases the rigidity of the mast and improves rebound performance.

If you do not have an Olympic weight plate available, adding an optional second pair of Kewlus Sandbags is highly recommended.

The Classic (KS2) Freestanding Kit is part of the fully modular Kewlus system. As your timing, accuracy and coordination improve, you can upgrade individual components rather than replacing the entire cobra bag.

For a faster and more demanding rebound, you can upgrade to the Prime (KS3) Spring . For maximum base rigidity and additional height, consider the O₃ Kit with its OctaBase, or combine the Classic (KS2) Core Kit with a DIY base .

Because every major component is replaceable, your Kewlus can continue evolving with your training rather than being discarded and replaced.

Find Your Rhythm. Build Your Power.

The adjustable metal connections in your Kewlus can produce a ticking sound as the target moves—a natural characteristic of the modular design that can also provide a useful rhythm cue. Like a metronome that follows the bag’s movement, this audible feedback can help you learn half-cadence: punching on every second return of the target. That extra return gives you time to load up through your legs and rotate your body into a more powerful punch. For beginners finding this timing challenging, listening to the rhythm while watching the target can help it click into place. The sound varies with your setup and does not need to be loud to be useful.

Prefer quieter operation? A thin wrap of ordinary clear office tape around the inner tube at the clicking joint can reduce or eliminate the sound by taking up the small clearance between the parts.

The standard height range is approximately 4′5″ to 5′0″ (135 to 152 cm) from the floor to the top of the target ball. Ideally, the top of the ball should sit at around chin height when you are standing upright in front of the bag.

You can also replace the Polymer Red Bar in the top section with an additional Aluminium Click Bar . This adds approximately 3 inches of height, although the slightly heavier top section will reduce the rebound speed.
